Cameras Don't Take Pictures, Photographers Do!
A wildlife photographer walked into a restaurant one day, when a waiter came up to him and said "I love your photographs! You must have a very expensive camera!" The photographer said nothing, but simply sat down and ordered. After finishing his meal, he paid the bill, got up to leave and said, "The food was excellent. You must have a very expensive stove."
This may seem like a silly story, but sadly, this is how photographers are viewed by most. Amateurs and hobbyists buy a DSLR, post their pictures on a blog and call themselves professionals, ultimately making people believe that the camera is responsible for taking an amazing picture. Like other forms of art, the camera is just a tool, and is only as useful as the artist.
I am not a professional, but I know enough about photography to understand that in the hands of a professional, even a simple camera can create magic. I am trying to show people that you do not need a powerful camera to take a good picture. In accordance with this principle, all the pictures on this page were taken with point-and-shoot cameras, NOT DSLRs! Most of the cameras I've used here would be considered "out-dated" by modern standards.

Having a good camera always helps, but it's not an absolute necessity to take a decent picture. "I don't have a DSLR" isn't a valid excuse, not in my book.
